Description

These large-digit, flip-digit, "scoreboard" displays are available with a 5-digit (99999) or 6-digit (999999) display as large-digit remote displays for use with Digital Weight Indicators with a serial ASCII data output.
With large bright 4" , 6" or 9" tall flip digits and microprocessor electronics, these displays are ideal for viewing weight from a long distance, even across a yard in bright sunlight. The sealed surface mount case provides protection for dirty or damp environments. Please see our Mechanical Section for dimensions.
The serial data input port is passive and will accept serial ASCII data from many different manufacturers of weigh meters, as well as serial ASCII data from other devices, including instruments, PLCs and computers. Signal inputs are serial 20 mA or RS-232 depending on the weigh meter being used. A built-in 12 V excitation supply for 20 mA serial data loop is optional. Weight information is accepted at a rate of 1200 baud, with a maximum of approximately 2.5 updates per second. Please see our Ordering Guide for ordering options applicable to specific weigh meters.
