Sports Scoreboard Displays
by Electro-Numerics are ideal for
viewing race times and results from a
long distance. Standard digit heights
are 5", 6" and 9". A rule of thumb is that maximum viewing
distance in feet is 40 times the digit height in inches, or in
metric terms, that maximum viewing distance in meters is digit
height in millimeters divided by 2.
Two
scoreboard display technologies are
offered: ultra-bright LEDs, or yellow,
electromechanical flip digits. Both are
available with a 4-digit (9,999), 5-digit (99,999) or 6-digit (999,999)
display.
Sports scoreboard displays accept ASCII
data in the form of serial 20 mA,
RS-232, or RS-485, depending on the
model, as provide by a computer or other
sports timing equipment.
115 Vac power is standard; 230 Vac or 12
Vdc power are available as options.
Sports scoreboard displays come with
a sealed enclosure for protection in dirty or damp environments.
